I goofed on this one. After Don returned to the U.S. his home town pitched in and bought a P-51 for him to use and
it was done in this scheme. My bad. Thanks for those who pointed this out to me. |

The original plane on which this is based, was Fred Glover's VF-B. The original was repainted after the war and
placed on display in Paris. It had the same nose art with John Godfrey's VF-P letters painted on it. |
