I have a few WWII "confidential" fighter reports from 1st.Lt. Nicholas Megura, 1st. Lt. Albert L. Schagel and Capt. Howard D. Hively, to name a few of the 4th Fighter Group P-51 on 18-23 March 1944. All describe encounters over Mannheim. the aerodome at Landes de Bussac and Hereford, bomber escorts. Can you tell me if these pilots were members of the group and if so would these encounters be interesting to you.

The No. 121 Squadron Roster has Nicholas D. Sintetos mispelled. (The last name spelling is: Sintetos, not: Sinetos) Thanks.
(edit: Admin 1/9/2010: Thanks! I've corrected it in the new revision.)

Didnt they do well! In 1992 I hosted a group of veterans at Debden. We had an airshow with the Spitfire being star of the show. I still live in the village. Look me up if you are passing. Ask at the pub!

Hi There,

I'm not sure who the person running this website is but I sure would like to be on a first name basis with you and be able to contrubute to your website a bit more. The last I looked you had not had any of my recent 4th FG paintings displayed. Here is a link to my 4th FG page...

http://www.starduststudios.com/4th%20FG.htm

and here is a link to my new Don Gentile painting in progress...

http://www.starduststudios.com/Studio3.htm

You can also find bios of several 4th FG pilots at this location...

http://www.starduststudios.com/Aces.htm

If you are on Facebook, a few months ago I created a 4th FG fan page there.

I still have a few copies left from the first edition of my Kidd Hofer book for sale. I am not sure if there will be a second edition but I am working on a new book which will feature several 4th FG pilots.

Also, I don't know if you heard but Roy Evans passed away earlier this week.
I look forward to hearing back from you.

Blue Skies,

Troy White

Check this out on you tube:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_z2fVNnI6ms&feature=related
with "Mac" McColpin getting a medal and Jim Goodson in the background on the birthday of the 4th September 29th, 1942!
Also films of Col. Blakeslee and Chesley Peterson brifing the group at Debden.
Search "The Mighty Eighth"
